The server experienced an outage for approximately 3 hours today due to a power outage at the colo facility, and subsequent failure of the generator.
The colo is in the same building I work in, so I wasn’t able to do any work for that period as well!
I’ve changed it so that guest players are now dropped directly into tourism headquarters, because the introductory menu that came up was outdated and poorly written.
From now on, new users should be able to use the web site to get the help and tutorials they need.
Latitude MUCK is proud to announce its new and improved site. With the descovery of ‘The Bean’ java MUD client, we were able to finally provide the ability to connect to Latitude MUCK through a browser in a way that supports all the necessary colors and features, so we built up a fancy new site around it!
New features include a blog, powered by ‘Wordpress’, that you can now explore, even while you use the MUCK web client, complete with comment posting and search functionality!
