What is a MUCK?

A MUCK is a type of MUD, which means “Multi User Dungeon”. In MUDs, plain old text is used to show you areas and events in a virtual world you share with other players. Most MUDs are Diablo style hack-and-slash games, which focus on battles, treasure hunting, and puzzle solving.

MUCKs, on the other hand, focus primarally on the social aspects of the MUD platform. Its development was geared toward allowing users to have an enjoyable time interacting with eachother, rather than smashing orcs and collecting silver pieces.

You can even create your own commands and areas to share with all the other members of the community.

Log in, find some friends, and ask them about the wonderful world of MUCKs!
